Overview

This device combines the selectivity of precursor ion selection using quadrupole and the high-resolution and accurate mass detection capability of Orbitrap. It enables screening, quantification, and identification of target and non-target compounds. It has sensitivity comparable to triple quadrupole mass analyzers and resolution surpassing Q-TOF systems.

(1) Faculty or students belonging to the Urban Environmental Engineering Program (referred to as “the program”) or cooperative courses within the program in the Graduate School of Engineering at Kyoto University, as well as faculty members belonging to the Environmental Harmony Industries in the Division of Earth and Environmental Sciences at the Graduate School of Global Environmental Studies, specifically in the fields of Environmental Harmonization Industries, Water Environment Conservation Studies, and Integrated Environmental Design Studies, or faculty members belonging to the Energy Society and Environment Studies in the Energy Science and Engineering Program, Energy Society and Environment Studies Field, at the Graduate School of Energy Science.
(2) Faculty or students of Kyoto University who do not belong to the category mentioned in the previous item.
(3) Individuals affiliated with national or local government bodies, national university corporations or university joint-use institutions, independent administrative institutions, or corporations or organizations engaged in educational or research activities.
(4) Individuals engaged in research and development activities in companies or other organizations.
(5) Other individuals deemed appropriate by the responsible manager.
