Single-crystal X-ray diffractometer
Rigaku single-crystal X-ray diffractometer (manufactured in 2024), equipped with a MicroMax-007 HF high-intensity X-ray generator (1.2 kW, 50 kV, 24 mA, Mo radiation), VariMax confocal X-ray optics, a HyPix-6000HE or PILATUS 200K detector, an Oxford Cryosystems Cobra low-temperature device (capable of cooling down to 80 K), and CrysAlisPro software for data collection and analysis. This apparatus determines the three-dimensional arrangement of molecules and atoms by collecting and analyzing diffraction patterns obtained by irradiating a single crystal with X-rays. It can measure microcrystals down to a size of several tens of micrometers, which is approximately the lower limit for identifying crystal shapes under an optical microscope. Diffraction data collection typically takes around half a day to one day per sample on average.

Public offering
Prior to use, users must register as an X-ray apparatus operator at their affiliated institution, contact the staff in charge, and submit an application for X-ray work regarding this equipment in advance. In addition, a dosimeter must be worn when operating the equipment.
