Rainwater runoff experiment device

  • The "Rainwater Runoff Experiment Device" is a device that artificially generates rainfall and is premised on installing various models and waterways to elucidate the mechanisms of various phenomena induced by rainfall.
  • The experiment area is broadly divided into two blocks: a block where a nozzle that produces mist raindrops is installed, mainly for the installation of river basin models, and a block where a nozzle that produces raindrops is installed based on the premise of conducting a model experiment close to the actual scale of landslide/debris flows. The rainfall area is divided into three blocks representing the upstream, midstream, and downstream areas of the basin, and computer control allows any rainfall time series (hyetograph) to be simulated independently.
  • Maximum rainfall intensity 300 mm/h, minimum rainfall area 5 m✕6.25 m
